The story
The challenge here was to design an interesting looking site that can be easily maintained and updated by non-professionals. The original code was written in Homesite but Dreamweaver was used to add individual pages and content taking advantage of Dreamweaver's site management and template tools.
Dreamweaver provides a WYSIWYG ('What you see is what you get') interface that makes it possible to create webpages without knowledge of HTML. It is not necessarily the most beginner-friendly tool, but it writes the best code among WYSIWYGs and is resourceful. A couple of training sessions provided the NDT member put in charge of the new site with the necessary knowledge to update the site in the future.
